It really works. You’ll still have to do some minor detail work–and may have to do a second application if there are more than 32 coats of paint–but it works and is worth the money, especially if one wishes to minimize lead paint issues.

Does Smart Strip work?
For exterior stripping I have been using the really ugly, stinky stuff, but for interior stripping, Smart Strip is fantastic! Paint it on thick, think peanut butter sandwich thick, cover it with wax paper and walk away for a day or two. There’s almost NO smell, and it doesn’t burn your skin if you get some on you.
